Fountain no. 2
Oil
Cobalt and cerulean rise through the image in vertical surges, so the fountain feels caught in motion a moment before it settles back into form.
Curatorial note
What holds the picture is upward energy. The basin remains legible, but the real event is the way water keeps architecture in suspension.
Installation note
Hang it where the wall needs momentum. After a darker work, it restarts the sequence and carries the viewer forward.
