Fountain no. 8
Oil
Icy aqua, chalked white, and windblown cobalt marks turn the fountain into a register of weather, as though water and air were writing across the same surface.
Curatorial note
The painting treats the motif as script rather than monument. The basin holds, but the real subject is how a stable form can be loosened into atmosphere without losing its structure.
Installation note
Use it as a breathing interval within the fountain wall. It benefits from uncluttered space and pairs especially well with the darker blue works.
