Rooster Platter no. 1
Oil
Cobalt scrolls, red accents, and branching ochres frame the rooster as both emblem and flourish, turning the round format into a compact theatre of motion.
Curatorial note
The platter format allows ornament to carry real structure. Swirl, branch, and bird are locked together so tightly that decoration becomes architecture.
Installation note
A clean wall and modest spacing are enough. It punctuates a run of rectangles beautifully and gains another register when placed near the other circular works.
